The TusStar-hosted X Salon on Embodied Intelligence was successfully held in Shanghai. The event brought together experts and entrepreneurs from robotics, AI, and investment sectors to explore the latest trends and application opportunities in perception, decision-making, and motion technologies.
At the event, Slamtec’s Co-Founder and CTO, Huang Jueshen, delivered a keynote titled “An Alternative Answer to Embodied Perception and Mobility.” He shared how Slamtec is building customized perception and mobility solutions for embodied intelligence through technological integration and innovation.
Aurora Series: The “Tailored Vision” for Embodied Intelligence
In his speech, Huang emphasized that the essence of embodied intelligence lies in the closed loop of perception–understanding–action, with perception as the first and most critical step.
Slamtec’s Aurora Series was designed as the “tailored vision” for robots, offering spatial perception solutions tailored to embodied intelligence.
2D→3D, 3DoF→6DoF Upgrade: Direct centimeter-level 3D positioning and dense point cloud mapping with closed-loop stability, eliminating the need for post-processing stitching.
Office building 3D mapping
Semantic Perception: Fused with VLN/VLA multimodal models to identify walls, doors, shelves, pedestrians, and other semantic elements, enabling robots to “understand the world.”
Strong Robustness: Capable of ultra-large-scale mapping indoors and outdoors, performing reliably even in low-light or dynamic environments.
PhotoReal Reconstruction: Supports high-fidelity digital twins for developers to simulate and plan in virtual environments.

“The Aurora Series is not just perception hardware but a systematic capability for embodied intelligence—empowering robots to move from merely seeing to truly understanding.” — Huang Jueshen
Mobility is another vital part of the closed loop. Addressing the needs of embodied intelligent robots for high power and multi-floor collaboration, Slamtec introduced the 48V Hermes Robot Platform.
Key advantages include:
Seamless Integration with Robotic Arms: Supports collaborative robotic arm control, enabling fast deployment of “mobile manipulation” robots.
30AH High-Capacity Battery: Long-lasting power supply with 8–12 hours of stable operation, even under dual-arm continuous workloads, greatly improving efficiency.
Multi-Sensor Fusion & Safety: LiDAR combined with next-generation visual SLAM and redundant safety strategies ensure safe human–robot collaboration.
High Scalability: Multiple reserved interfaces allow for customized upper-layer applications, ideal for research institutions and innovation teams.
Huang highlighted that the Hermes chassis uses Slamtec’s proprietary “optical-magnetic fusion” mechanical LiDAR, featuring a contactless rotating design that extends lifespan from the traditional two years to over five years, while cutting costs by 40%. The series is already deployed in hotels, hospitals, and warehouses, serving leading enterprises such as Noematrix and YWY Technologies.
four-wheel, four-steering omnidirectional folding platform
He also revealed that Slamtec will soon launch a four-wheel, four-steering omnidirectional folding platform, designed for narrow and complex environments, further enhancing maneuverability and flexibility.
Exploring “Alternative Answers” to Accelerate Applications
From the “spatial cognition revolution” of the Aurora Series, to the “power and intelligence integration” of the Hermes robot platform, and the upcoming innovations in omnidirectional folding chassis, Slamtec is pushing the boundaries of embodied intelligence in both perception and mobility.
As Huang concluded:
“Our goal is to give robots the ability to see the world clearly, understand it deeply, and ultimately change it.”
Looking ahead, Slamtec will continue to strengthen its full-stack capabilities from perception to mobility, laying the foundation for the era of embodied intelligence. By combining standardized hardware with an open software ecosystem, the company aims to lower R&D barriers for clients. Embodied intelligence can only create real value when it is truly applied.
